Consider supporting Anderson Animal Shelter, 1000 S. La Fox St. (Route 31) in South Elgin, during the holidays. Get tickets for the Holiday Brew Fest or sign up for the Santa Paws Workshop.

Ÿ Fox River Harley-Davidson and Windy City Triumph will host a Holiday Brew Fest from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, at 131 S. Randall Road in St. Charles. Proceeds will benefit the Anderson Animal Shelter. There will be a showroom with more than 25 beer crafters; food will be provided.

Ÿ Anderson Animal Shelter is now registering youth for the 2013 Santa Paws Workshop, which is for children, ages 6-12. The workshop takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, or Sunday, Dec. 15, at the shelter. The cost is $50 per child. Activities include holiday theme fun, crafts, games, a pizza party and interaction with the animals.
