First Watch opens first restaurant in Kane County

First Watch, the Florida-based Daytime Dining concept serving breakfast, brunch and lunch, announced that it has opened a new restaurant in Geneva, its sixth to arrive in the Chicago area in the last two years.

The new restaurant at 1702 Commons Drive brings the concept's chef-driven menu and rotating seasonal offerings to a 6,870-square-foot space that offers outside dining under a covered patio, serves its signature cocktails at an indoor-outdoor bar, and seats more than 180 people.

First Watch Geneva is also the first among the concept's six Chicago area restaurants to introduce life-size games - like brunch battleship - for customers to enjoy during their wait.

First Watch debuted its first Chicago restaurant in Oak Brook in March 2021 and now has six locations across the Windy City in Kildeer, Naperville, Bloomingdale, Schaumburg and, most recently, Geneva.

"Over the last two years, we've been thrilled to introduce a new morning routine to our neighbors throughout Greater Chicago, and our newest restaurant in Geneva seeks to continue if not add to that positive momentum," said Robert Glen, Vice President of Operations. "Even though we're relative newcomers to Chicagoland, we've seen our fresh offerings, often ahead of trends, resonate among local customers, whether they're stopping by for breakfast, brunch or lunch. We look forward to continuing to raise the bar and bring more people around our table for years to come."

To celebrate the opening of the new Geneva location, customers who dine in-restaurant during their first five days in business will receive free coffee with their meal. In addition, the first 120 customers to visit the new restaurant will also receive a custom, reusable travel mug.

First Watch's curated menu takes an elevated approach to traditional breakfast, brunch and lunch offerings that are made to order using fresh ingredients. Some of its most ordered items include Avocado Toast, Lemon Ricotta Pancakes and its signature Million Dollar Bacon.

All year long, the concept makes an array of fresh juices in-house daily and brews its socially responsible and award-winning Project Sunrise coffee, sourced by women coffee farmers, the Mujeres en Café, based in South America.

Five times a year, the Daytime Dining concept offers a revolving seasonal menu that follows the sun to intentionally source quality ingredients, wherever and whenever they are in season. This ever-evolving menu has included items like the Crab Avocado Toast, Barbacoa Quesadilla Benedict, Elote Mexican Street Corn Hash and Watermelon Wake-Up fresh juice, among many others. The new Geneva restaurant will offer this seasonal menu beginning in Winter 2023.

The concept serves its full menu seven days a week from 7 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. for pickup, delivery and dine-in service. To place an order or join a digital waitlist, guests can download the First Watch App or visit firstwatch.com.
