Scouts to Honor Volunteers with Silver Beaver Award-The Highest Award for Distinguished Service to Youth
The Three Fires Council is proud to honor the recipients of the 2011 Silver Beaver Awards. The Boy Scouts of America, through the National Court of Honor, confers the Silver Beaver Award to adult volunteers for distinguished service to youth upon nomination by the chartered local Council. The Silver Beaver is the highest award a local Council can present to an adult volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America. The Silver Beaver Award Dinner will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 pm and is followed by the Council Annual Board Meeting on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at the Hotel Arista located at 2139 CityGate Lane in Naperville. In 2011, the Council recorded 7,150 registered adult volunteers. The following individuals were selected to receive the Silver Beaver Award: Thomas Alan Brooks of North Aurora, Alan Richard Burnham of Streamwood, Jeffrey Paul Fechner of Aurora, Ronald W. Fletcher, Jr. of Rock Hill, South Carolina, Timothy Frederick Greiner of Aurora, Jeffrey John Gross of Naperville, Brian Eric Kilmer of Geneva, George Edward Kunkel of Oswego, Barbara Veras Nadeau of Plano, Michael Paul Nelson of St. Charles, Eva L. Nowak of Gilberts, Andrew John Otto of Lisle, Daniel F. Rigby of Naperville, Timothy James Seeden of Lisle, Christopher Neil Vavrinek of Oswego, and Jeffrey David Zavoral of Naperville.
