Ruff, Woof & Bark Party

Memorial Day has gone to the dogs at Bark ‘N' Town pet resort and spa. Patriotic pups can join in the celebration at the first annual Ruff, Woof & Bark Party.

Bark ‘N' Town pet resort, located off Rt. 12 in Ingleside, will be honoring the military's hard-working canine troops with a dog-friendly Memorial Day “BBQ”, on Saturday, May 28. Four-legged guests will play games, take nature hikes through Bark ‘N' Town's 7-acre property and enjoy a picnic of burgers and bacon potato salad made especially for dogs. They will also have the opportunity to personally “paw”digraph thank you notes which will be sent along with care packages to war dogs and their handlers.

Owners can drop their pets off between 8 a.m. and Noon and pick them up between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. Cost for the event is $24.95, with a portion of the proceeds donated to the U.S. War Dogs Association, Inc.

In addition, throughout the month of May, Bark ‘N' Town is collecting donations to help the U.S. War Dogs Association send care packages to the hard working dogs and their handlers. The dogs are in need of not only treats and toys, but other special items such as K9 Cooling Vests to help keep them comfortable in the 140° heat and Doggles to help keep the sand out of their eyes.

Donations are being accepted during normal business hours at Bark ‘N' Town, 27607 W. Brandenburg Road, Ingleside, Ill. For questions or to make reservation for the Ruff, Woof & Bark Party, call 815-PLZ-BARK (759-2275). www.BarkNTown.com
