Candy Days to bring funky '70s sound to Hampshire
The Shagadelics, a 1970s disco tribute cover band, is set to play at Hampshire Coon Creek Country Days on Thursday, Aug. 2.
To help offset the cost of hiring the band, the committee is hosting Candy Days now through April 15 where Fannie May candy bars will be sold for $2 each at various businesses throughout the village.
The 36th annual Hampshire Coon Creek Country Days will run from Thursday, Aug. 2, to Sunday, Aug. 5.
They are dedicating Thursday night to longtime Hampshire resident and former committee member Rose Bihun who passed away last fall from pancreatic cancer.
Bihun was a lover of 1970s and Motown music, and the committee has crafted "Disco Night" in her honor.
