Man treated for gunshot wound outside Rivers Casino

Des Plaines police are investigating an early morning shooting Saturday outside the Rivers Casino.

An injured man flagged down a Des Plaines officer just before 1 a.m. Saturday and asked him to call an ambulance, authorities said.

The officer provided First Aid to the man who had suffered a nonthreatening gunshot wound to his leg and Des Plaines Fire Department paramedics took him to hospital.

"Three subjects, including the victim, have been identified and the incident is being investigated," police officials said.

In March, three separate armed robberies were reported outside the casino.
