Police: 'Dirty looks' led to gunshots, felony charges in Aurora dispute
A 44-year-old Aurora woman accused of trying to shoot the "dirty look" off the face of another woman Saturday is being held on $150,000 bail in DuPage County.
Lagwanda Hudson, 44, of the 2700 block of Village Green Drive, is charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm in the direction of another person.
Police said Hudson and another woman became involved in a fist fight about 9:40 a.m. Saturday in the parking lot outside the apartment complex after one reportedly saw the other giving "dirty looks." During the altercation, police said Hudson retrieved a Glock pistol from her purse and fired once at the victim, narrowly missing the left side of her head.
During the investigation, police learned Hudson and the 30-year-old woman had been involved in a neighbor dispute for the past few weeks.
The pistol was recovered from Hudson's vehicle, reports said. The victim was treated and released from a hospital for minor scratches and pain in her left ear.
Police say the gun was legally owned by Hudson, who also has a concealed carry license.
Hudson does not yet have a future court date assigned.
