Edgewater to host 'Get a Move On It' May 21

Edgewater by Del Webb, an active adult community in Elgin for those ages 55 and older, will host a presentation on “Selling Your House in Today's Market” at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 21.

The seminar is designed to help and encourage homebuyers to move forward with the next phase of their life. Wayne Laatz, a Realtor in the Chicago Northwest suburbs with more than 40 years of experience, will facilitate the discussion and provide insights and advice as to what it takes to get a house sold in 2011.

The social hub of Edgewater is the Creekside Lodge, which features a state-of-the-art fitness center, indoor and outdoor pools, multi-purpose rooms for arts and crafts, bocce and tennis courts and landscaped walking trails. Single-family homes range from 1,197-2,833 square feet with 2-3 bedrooms, and start in the affordable low $190s.

The 11 a.m. presentation will be followed by a complimentary lunch and dessert at noon at Edgewater by Del Webb Sales Center, 2550 Edgewater Drive in Elgin. Space is limited; call (847) 697-8280.
