26 luxury homes being added in Woodridge

Economic opportunities. Good schools. Safe streets. Things to do. A natural setting. A real sense of community. When Woodridge was recognized as one of Money Magazine's 100 Best Places to Live, it could boast having those things and more.

Now, Kenar Homes will add one more thing to the list: Cedar Hill, a community of 26 luxury homes. First foundations in the western suburb will be poured in September.

Laura Johnson, director of sales and marketing for Schaumburg-based Kenar, says, "The leafy, wooded suburb provides the perfect setting for our little community."

Cedar Hill will consist of 26 duplex homes with floor plans of from 2088 to 2679 square feet. The four models, the Dalton, the Arbor, the Canterbury and the Brittany, will feature open layouts with great rooms, kitchens, formal living and dining rooms, full 9-foot deep basements, two-car garages and central air conditioning.

The Dalton and the Arbor will feature first-floor master suites with luxury bathrooms. The prices will range in the low $400,000's.

The community will lie within a natural landscape with nearby forest preserves, parks, golf courses, and other recreational options.

Residents will have quick access to the I-355/I-55 junction.
