Man pleads guilty to porn possesion

A Lake Zurich man will be in jail for one year when not working or attending sex offender counseling after pleading guilty Monday to possession of child pornography.

Donald Craigo, 43, was also ordered to serve 30 months on probation and to perform 175 hours of public service work.

Assistant State's Attorney Dan Kleinhubert said Craigo, of 595 S. Buesching Road, was a member at the Net Zone Internet Cafe, 808 S. Rand Road.

In spite of signing a contract for his membership saying he would not view any pornography while at the cafe, an employee saw Craigo looking at images of child pornography on April 26, 2005.

Craigo returned to the cafe on May 10, 2005 and was again caught viewing child pornography, Kleinhubert said.

Police obtained a search warrant for Craigo's account and discovered more than 1,300 images of child pornography had been accessed.

Craigo faced a prison term of up to seven years if he had been convicted after a trial.
