Schaumburg Twp. electoral hearing continued

An electoral board hearing on an objection to the entire Democratic slate for Schaumburg Township offices was continued to 7:30 p.m. next Tuesday at township hall, 1 Illinois Blvd. in Hoffman Estates. Schaumburg Township Republican Committeeman Michael Adelizzi objected that the eight Democrats' nomination form wasn't notarized before it was filed with the township. The hearing was continued so the Democrats' attorney could file a motion to dismiss the objection by noon Wednesday, and Adelizzi's attorney could file a response by noon Friday. The Democrats are fielding candidates for every elected township office except assessor, the most candidates they've nominated for township office since 2001. Republicans are fielding candidates for every elected office, including assessor.
