Storytime scheduled at Dundee Township library in West Dundee

The Dundee Township Public Library will be presenting its Fall Storytime series at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesdays, Sept. 15-29 and Wednesdays, Sept. 16-30.

All the storytimes will include stories, songs, puppets and some "special construction" activities. No registration is required for this fun preschool program. Storytimes are free and all children must attend with a parent or caregiver.

Please note that due to the library renovations all these sessions will be held at the West Dundee Public Safety Center II, Route 72 and Sleepy Hollow Road in West Dundee. For information, call the library at (847) 428-3661.

Renovation continues: Inside the Dundee Township Public Library, visitors are more likely to find hard hats than hard covers as progress continues on the $1.775 million renovation project that will completely recreate the library's public spaces.

But despite roaming forklifts and glowing blow torches, library staff members are still on site to perform many of the library's services from the "Little Library." The Little Library consists of a trailer and outdoor tent located on the west side of the library.

The Little Library is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday. Materials can be renewed using the library's at dundeelibrary.info, or by phone at (847) 428-3661, ext. 301.
