Endorsement on the nose about Kirk

"The 10th District has a gem in Mark Kirk, and voters should keep him in Washington."

That is what the Lake County News Sun said when they endorsed Mark Kirk for re-election. They could not be more right.

Congressman Kirk is recognized by his constituents here, and by his colleagues in Washington, as one of the best and most knowledgeable members of the House of Representatives.

He tackles national issues, like making sure CEOs of failed companies do not profit from the taxpayer bailout, and local issues, like saving our veterans hospital, with skill and intelligence. And he always strives to keep in touch with the voter, frequently soliciting constituent opinions via e-mails and telephone town hall meetings.

He is all we could ask for in a Congressman, and more.

I expect to see many more endorsements for Congressman Kirk in the coming weeks.

Kirk has done an excellent job and deserves reelection.
