Work done on Edward-Elmhurst Health Center in Woodridge
WOODRIDGE - The Chicago-based region of Ryan Companies US Inc., a national commercial real estate solutions provider, said it has completed the development of the Edward-Elmhurst Health Center in Woodridge.
Ryan developed, built and now serves as property manager of the new health center for tenant Edward-Elmhurst Health, one of Illinois' largest integrated health systems that recently merged with NorthShore University Health System. The two-story, 36,100-square-foot health center recently opened at the southwest corner of Route 53 and 75th Street and includes offices for primary care physicians and specialists. Other services include a walk-in clinic, behavioral health, physical therapy, laboratory and diagnostic imaging.
The contractor also recently completed work on two other health care facilities: the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Community-Based Outpatient Clinic in West Indianapolis and Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Community Hospital in Mequon, Wisconsin.
"Our health care clients have been adding new outpatient clinics and community hospitals at a faster pace in the last two years to meet the demand for more accessible, high-quality care at a lower cost to patients," said Curt Pascoe, director of real estate development, Ryan Companies. "These three projects are representative of the fast-growing ambulatory segment of the health care industry. Changes to insurance reimbursements and consumer demand for a convenient health care experience are also driving growth of facilities delivering outpatient services."
