Marquette Bank announces promotion, hire

ORLAND PARK - Marquette Bank recently promoted Gene Malfeo to senior vice president and director of commercial banking and real estate lending. The bank also welcomed Raymond Burzic as first vice president/commercial real estate lending, focused on the Chicago-area market.

Malfeo has an MBA and has been with Marquette Bank for just over a decade. He has 25 years of Chicago-area experience in finance, banking, credit and commercial real estate.

Burzic brings 18 years of commercial credit and local business lending experience to the bank. He is an alumnus of University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and comes to Marquette Bank from Republic Bank of Chicago.

Marquette Bank was recently named Lender of the Year at the 2022 Illinois Real Estate Journal Awards. Marquette Bank was founded in 1945 and is still locally owned and operated. The bank offers a full line of Commercial, Business and Real Estate Lending options customized to individual needs including: commercial and residential construction loans, commercial mortgages, equipment loans and working capital lines of credit.
