TCM, Warner Bros to release classic collections
Turner Classic Movies just celebrated its 15th year on cable, and the commercial-free network has developed a loyal following. Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has partnered with Turner Classics Movies (TCM) to release themed collections to give movie collectors an opportunity to own some of the greatest films of all time at an affordable price.
Each two-disc set includes four films that retail for $27.92. Here is what each collection offers:
"TCM Greatest Classic Films Collection: American Musicals" - "Singin' in the Rain," "The Band Wagon," "Easter Parade" and "Meet Me in St. Louis"
"Broadway Musicals" - "Annie Get Your Gun," "Kiss Me Kate," "Showboat" and "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers"
"Westerns" - "The Wild Bunch," "Jeremiah Johnson," "Train Robbers" and "McCabe & Mrs. Miller"
"John Wayne Westerns" - "Stagecoach," "Cowboys," "Rio Bravo" and "The Searchers"
"WWII Battlefront Europe" - "The Dirty Dozen," "Kelly's Heroes," "Where Eagles Dare" and "Battleground"
"War: Battlefront Asia" - "The Green Berets," "Destination Tokyo," "Battan" and "Back to Battan"
"Fashion in Film: A Starz Inside Documentary"
This fascinating documentary shows how fashion is essential to the filmmaking process. It shows how clothing can develop a character and explores Hollywood's impact on the fashion industry. There are interviews with designers, stylists, models, directors and actors.
Some of the films discussed include "Breakfast at Tiffany's," "Sex and the City," "Flashdance," "Blade Runner," "27 Dresses," "Clueless," "Legally Blonde," "American Gigolo" and many more.

Available for the first time, the folk music legend who performed at the 2009 inaugural concert. showcases more than 25 beloved songs. The songs include "If I Had A Hammer," "Down By The Riverside," "Michael, Row The Boat Ashore," "Goodnight Irene," "A Hard rain's A-Gonna Fall," "Skip To My Lou" and more.
The program also includes appearances on Australian television. photographs, home movies, performances by Lead Belly and a booklet.
