Timony sworn in as Vernon Hills village manager
Kevin Timony has been sworn in as Vernon Hills new village manager.
Timony, alongside his wife and children, took his oath at Tuesday night's village board meeting. He is the seventh village manager in Vernon Hills history.
A member of the first graduating class at Vernon Hills High School, Timony comes to the job after serving four years as village administrator in Wauconda. Prior to that, he worked as assistant village manager in Grayslake.
Timony holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications/Marketing from Loyola University, and an MBA from North Park University.
Under terms of a deal approved by village trustees in May, Timony's annual base salary is $189,000. The agreement also includes $500 per month car allowance and four weeks of vacation.
