Milwaukee man charged with attempted murder in shooting at Aurora party

A Milwaukee man has been charged with attempted murder in connection with a shooting during a New Year's Eve party in Aurora.

Bail has been set at $1 million for Cameron J. Sebastion, 23, of the 1200 block of South 15th Place, according to a news release from the Kane County state's attorney's office.

Authorities said Sebastion fired a handgun toward three people at a party he was attending on the 800 block of Huntington Drive. One person was hit in the arm.

Sebastion is charged with one count of attempted first-degree murder, one count of aggravated battery with a firearm, and three counts of aggravated discharge of a firearm. All are Class X felonies, punishable by 6 to 30 years in prison.

To be freed pretrial, Sebastion would need to post $100,000 bond.
