Signarama Buffalo Grove Announces Program to Donate $10,000 in Signage to Local Organizations
Chuck and Sherri Hodes are not only longtime residents of Buffalo Grove, but their Signarama store at 350 Lexington Dr. has been a longtime supporter of organizations in and around the community. This summer Signarama Buffalo Grove will launch a program entitled "Signs of Support" with the goal of donating $10,000 worth of signage to nonprofit organizations operating in and around the area.
As part of the Signarama Midwest Owners Group, the Buffalo Grove location has contributed products and services to local charitable organizations in support of community interests since 2014. Collectively the group has been awarding $10,000 in grants annually and has seen the number of applications more than double in the last couple of years.
"The Signs of Support grant program supports and strengthens local civic, non-for-profit, and charitable organizations with donations of various types of signage at partial or no cost to the recipient," explains Chuck Hodes.
Qualifying signage includes signage for events, facility, and organizational identification. Among a wide variety of organizational missions Signarama has provided support to includes childcare and welfare, prevention of violence against women, education, veteran services, and much more. In 2018, a record 40 grants were awarded through a concerted effort to help as many applicants as possible.
A completed application with descriptions of qualifying sign requests, plus an estimate from a participating shop, is all that is needed to apply for the grant. Completed applications must be submitted to Signarama Buffalo Grove prior to July 1 in order to qualify for available grants. According to Chuck Hodes, grant winners will be announced by July 15.
