Participate in Palatine Township's 32nd annual Apple Tree Campaign

Now in its 32nd year, Palatine Township's Apple Tree Campaign is accepting donations of new school supplies and backpacks for under-resourced kindergartners through ninth-graders, living in the township, who attend District 15 and District 211 schools.

A list of needed school supplies can be found at palatinetownship-il.gov/apple-tree-campaign/.

Donations will be accepted through July 29. School supplies and backpacks will be distributed at the Palatine Township Center prior to the start of the 2020-2021 school year.

School supplies and backpacks can be dropped off at the Palatine Township Center during normal business hours: 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays; 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays; and 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturdays.

Checks can be made payable to Palatine Township Needy Family Fund with "Apple Tree" written in the memo line, and dropped off or mailed to: Palatine Township, 721 S. Quentin Road, Palatine, IL 60067.

Online donations can be made at the Palatine Township Donate page at https://palatinetownship-il.gov/donate/. Please include "Apple Tree" in the message portion.

This year the township will provide registered children with customized pre-packed backpacks with all the supplies they need. The township will distribute backpacks to registered children via curbside pickup at an appointed date and time.

"We invite our residents to support the Apple Tree Program and ensure its success. Please help this worthwhile program, either by a monetary donation or by donating school supplies," said Palatine Township Supervisor Sharon Langlotz-Johnson.

"The Apple Tree program is focused on providing in-need children with the supplies they need for school, despite financial circumstances, so that they can concentrate on learning."
