Libertyville Rotary to host virtual winter fundraiser

Libertyville Sunrise Rotary Club has announced it will present the Spirit of Libertyville Winter Fundraiser benefiting local charities.

Presented virtually for the second year, ticket holders will receive home-delivered meals from local restaurants and will have access to view the Spirit of Libertyville fundraising program online.

The event will be offered at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, on Zoom. The cost to attend the event is $125 per single ticket or $200 for two tickets. The ticket price includes meals and raffle tickets. Additional raffle tickets can be purchased for $20 each or six for $100. Event and raffle tickets can be purchased at one.bidpal.net/spiritoflibertyville/welcome.

In addition to the 50/50 raffle, the event will feature a silent auction with more than 50 items and a paddle raise benefiting Honor Flight Chicago, which recognizes the bravery, determination, and patriotism of the nation's senior war veterans with trips to Washington, D.C.

This year, World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam War veterans will be honored on seven flights, including the organization's 100th flight.

"Amid the continued uncertainties of 2022, there are still some things that remain certain," Libertyville Sunrise Rotary Club President Rich Schoeneman said.

"One of them is that the Libertyville Sunrise Rotary Club will do what it can to continue its fundraising efforts and support local organizations in the community.
