Hooters and Hoots employees donate to Greater Chicago Food Depository

To help with hunger relief during the holiday season, the 14 Chicagoland Hooters and Hoots locations hosted a food drive with their employees. HMC Hospitality Group's Hooters and Hoots locations partnered with the Greater Chicago Food Depository for this initiative. Employees from the 11 Hooters and three Hoots locations donated over 450 pounds of food for Chicago and Cook County.

"The Greater Chicago Food Depository is Chicago's Food Bank. We are the anchor in a network of more than 700 community partner food pantries and meal programs across Chicago and Cook County. Currently one in four households with children in Chicagoland are facing food insecurity, so every donation counts! Thank you for your commitment to your community and for doing your part to help end hunger," said Greater Chicago Food Depository Marketing Manager Ashley Lundgren.

"Our team at Hoots and Hooters wanted to get involved and support our community and make a difference to help fight hunger and food insecurity during the holidays," said HMC Hospitality Group Chief Marketing Officer Denise Williams.

"I believe it's important to give back to the community as we have a responsibility as business operators to give back to the communities we serve. Giving back builds and strengthens connections by bringing our employees and members of the community together. It allows us to make an impact for those in need and gives you a sense of fulfillment in the process. Everyone needs a helping hand from time to time," said Hoots Cicero General Manager Angela Tyranowski.

"Giving to humanity overall is more satisfying than receiving, Hooters is a company that deals with delicious meals all day long. Therefore, Hooters is always happy to donate to the community," said Downers Grove Hooters Girl Salma Venecia.
