Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) representatives will also be available to answer questions about VA disability claims and benefits. Staff will also be available to discuss the PACT Act, a new law that significantly expands VA health care and benefits for Veterans exposed to burn pits, Agent Orange, and other toxic substances.

"This is a great opportunity for all Veterans to learn more about the benefits and resources offered through VA and our community," said Jesus Molina, Hines VA outreach coordinator and event organizer. "As a Marine Corps Veteran, I know it may be hard for some to navigate all the resources available to Veterans, but that's why we are teaming up with Cook County and other organizations. We want to help our fellow Veterans access the resources and care they earned through service."

Veterans interested in enrolling in VA healthcare at the event should bring a copy of their DD-214 and a photo ID.

The Juvenile Temporary Detention Center is located at 1100 S. Hamilton Ave., Chicago, IL 60612.
