BG junior police academy

Are you a young person interested in law enforcement, criminal justice and police science? The Buffalo Grove Police Department’s Junior Police Academy takes kids through stopping a vehicle for a traffic violation, gathering evidence at a crime scene, being a K-9 handler and more. Applications are now open for the summer session, where participants will learn about the men and women who are protecting their community and their day-to-day activities and responsibilities. Registration and parent consent forms are due June 6; the academy is June 11-15. Applications are at the front desk of the police department, 46 Raupp Blvd., or at the Police page of the Village website http://www.vbg.org. Free; limit 20 students.
