Flag scavenger hunt set for July 2 at Safety Park

Celebrate Independence Day a little early with a patriotic scavenger hunt on July 2.

From 7 to 8 p.m., children ages 1 to 6 can put on red, white and blue and search for flags hidden throughout Safety Park, 421 N. Springinsguth Road. Schaumburg Park District's third annual Independence Day: Find the Flag Scavenger Hunt is a great way for kids to celebrate America, show their patriotism and enjoy a good, All-American game. Scavengers will enjoy ice cream after the hunt.

Be sure to arrive on time because flag hunts will be first. This event runs rain or shine, so dress appropriately. Check-in is under the Community Recreation Center tent, just south of the building.

Cost is $5 for residents and $7 for non-residents.
