Oakwood Hills/Cary Troop 161 holds Fall Court of Honor
Oakwood Hills/Cary – Troop 161 had a Fall Court of Honor on November 13, 2013. The rank of Scout was awarded to Sam Reiter, Christian Schwab and Colin Stevenson. Tenderfoot rank was awarded to Henry Kmiec and Joseph Stanger. Second and First Class rank was awarded to: Connor Dolezal, Adam Loch and AJ Weber. The following scouts were recognized for earning Eagle - Connor Dunn, Bjorn Mathisen, Eric Mathisen. Gold Palms were awarded to Cormick Breslin and Nick Stanger. A Silver Palm was awarded to Cormick Breslin.
The following merit Badges were passed out: Will Bednaroski – Chess, Model Design/Building and Soil and Water Conservation; Cormick Breslin – American Business, Climbing, and Golf; Malachy Breslin – Climbing, Fire Safety, Golf and Search and Rescue; Connor Dolezal – Aviation, Lifesaving, Rifle Shooting and Swimming; David Fejer – Aviation, Environmental Science, First Aid and Lifesaving; Eliot Kmiec – Cinematography, Nuclear Science and Small boat Sailing; Henry Kmiec – Golf, Lifesaving, Search and Rescue, Small Boat Sailing and Swimming; Adam Loch – Aviation; Bjorn Mathisen – Camping, Citizenship in the Community; Matt Palminteri – Camping, Citizenship in the Community, Environmental Science and the World Conservation Award; Christian Schwab – Aviation, Computers; Joseph Stanger – Aviation, Cinematography, Golf, Lifesaving, Photography, Search and Rescue, Small Boat Sailing and Swimming; Nick Stanger – Art, Emergency Preparedness, Hiking and Search and Rescue; Colin Stevenson – Aviation, Photography; Jeffery Ulaszek – Aviation, Golf, Lifesaving, Shotgun Shooting and Swimming; AJ Weber – Swimming; Chris Wood – Aviation, Lifesaving, Robotics and Search and Rescue; Nevin Wood – Robotics and Search and Rescue.
In July the troop attended Camp Tesomas in Rhinelander, Wisconsin: Will Bednaroski, Cormick Breslin, Malachy Breslin, Connor Dolezal, David Fejer, Eliot Kmiec, Henry Kmiec, Christian Schwab, Joseph Stanger, Jeffery Ulaszek, AJ Weber, Chris Wood, and Nevin Wood. Adults: Mrs. Majkrzak. Tom Breslin and Mr. Fejer. In August the following scouts went on a High Adventure trip to Philmont Scout Ranch: Cormick Breslin, Malachy Breslin, Bjorn Mathisen, Matt Palminteri, Nick Stanger, Nevin Wood, Tom Breslin and Joe Stanger.
